Pouder Design was retained as Lead Consultant by the Scenic Hudson Land Trust to prepare a Master Plan and construction documents for the development of this 249-acre preserve on the banks of the Hudson River. The Master Plan focuses on four major topics: Ecological Protection, Stabilization and Interpretation of Cultural Resources, Trail Improvements and Enhancement of Scenic Quality. Due to the pristine ecological quality of the northwest section of the site, the Master Plan recommended the creation of conservation zones with no human access on approximately 100-acres of the property. Public access is proposed in the remainder of the site including a fully ADA-compliant, 1800 ft long trail. The first phase of trail restoration was completed in 2009. The Park was voted Best New Trail by Hudson Valley Magazine in 2007.
